Can this feature be used, and if so, how?

I'd like to be able to use the 'Other' option when creating savestates in PCSX2, but whenever I try I get the following message: If this were hooked up, it would save a savestate file.. I'm guessing this probably means that the feature was never fully built into the emulator software, however I've been unable to find anything online that states one way or the other.
